SweetMeet

For the past two to three months, I’ve been on a journey to explore the most underrated dating apps in the industry. Why? Because I am so done with the same three apps – Bumble, Tinder, and Hinge. Wherever I go, these are the only apps that people are trying to find love on – and that’s ridiculous!

There are nearly 8,000 dating apps – why spend time on the apps that are clearly not helping out? So, I decided to review dating apps and check them out – so that you don’t have to do so!

And on that note, today we have SweetMeet, a dating app designed for connecting single individuals based on common preferences and interests. On the surface, it seemed like your everyday app.

But is it SweetMeet worth the hype or even the investment (if there’s any)? Let’s find out.

What Is SweetMeet?

What Is SweetMeet

SweetMeet has a single purpose – to connect interested singles based on mutual interests and preferences. The point? To make dating easy and fun.

The app is ordinary and offers nothing unique – it is just another dating app. However, I liked that users can send unlimited messages and communicate directly with each other without mutual matches. Perhaps, this is the only distinctive feature of the app that tries to set it apart from other dating apps.

Also, the app has a user-friendly design and offers an easy experience.

What I Thought About The Matches?

After spending a few weeks on SweetMeet, I would say that it is mostly a legit app.

The problem? So when I signed up on the app with my actual location, it appeared to be filled with spam and fake profiles. But then I changed my original location and instead chose a bigger metropolitan area. Immediately, my experience started improving, and it began to feel like a genuine platform.

This highlighted one important thing – whether the app is legit or not mostly depends on where you are using it.

Moreover, the profiles I encountered were a mix – while some were authentic, others were somewhat shady. So, the app works well in terms of functionality. It is easy to match and chat on the app. But then again, the results depend heavily on the user’s location.

Yep, that’s the catch – if the app isn’t popular where you live, then finding singles on it can get difficult.

As a result, you will need caution, patience, and lots of effort to make the best use of this dating app.

Pros And Cons Of SweetMeet

Pros And Cons Of SweetMeet_

Based on my experience, I’ve listed the pros and cons of SweetMeet below:

ProsCons
1. SweetMeet prioritizes compatibility and fosters genuine connections instead of casual browsing. 1. This one’s true for most dating apps – the risk of people misrepresenting themselves on the app is high.
2. SweetMeet offers guidance to users on moving from talking online to meeting on real dates. 2. While the app might prioritize respectful interactions, you can still encounter unwanted messages and spam.
3. Users on the app can connect with others in their local region, fostering real-world dates and meetups.3. Too many advertisement pop-ups ruin the overall user experience.
4. The app specifically caters to users who want to see some progress in their dating lives. 4. The app isn’t for everyone – users who are seeking casual encounters might face difficulty in finding matches.

SweetMeet Alternatives

SweetMeet Alternatives

SweetMeet has nothing unique to offer, honestly. It’s just a lesser-known Tinder alternative. So, if you are sick and tired of swiping on popular dating apps and looking for something relatively less popular, then there are so many options – most of them better than SweetMeet, if you look at all the vital parameters.

On that note, here are some of the best alternatives to SweetMeet, including some unique, niche dating apps:

  1. Coffee Meets Bagel.
  2. Tawkify.
  3. Elite Singles.
  4. Kismia.
  5. FRND.
  6. Mingle2.
  7. Litmatch.
  8. Lovoo.
  9. OurTime.
  10. SilverSingles.
  11. Schmooze.
  12. Kippo.
  13. Wingman.

What Are People On The Internet Saying About SweetMeet?

So, here’s what people are saying about SweetMeet on the internet:

  1. “It’s a good app, it’s free to chat, despite many ads, but that’s ok. But what concerns me is the fact there are too many fake users with stolen pictures from popular social media accounts, as well as some relating to porn accounts.” (User on Play Store on 30th August, 2025)
  1. “I’ve used this app for a while, and even though the women I’ve met are very respectful, there are a few that wants you to delete your profile and talk more on other apps, then they are going for the gusto and either wants you to send them money or open an online banking account. I’m giving this another shot, because hey, it might work out.” (User on Play Store on 16th August, 2025)
  1. “Letting you see who likes you is a huge boost compared to Tinder, where you have to subscribe for that. You really need to fix/update your location system, though. People who have their location in one state turn out to be living in another. minus the ads, not a bad app to use.” (User on Play Store on 3rd July, 2025)
  1. “The application is a real hell. If you are registered as a man, it is hell in any case. After almost any click in this application, it shows you uncontrollable advertising. You can’t even test it normally, because such a crazy amount of advertising makes you want to delete it and never come back to it, not to mention considering buying the paid version. It is almost impossible to use the application if you are a man. Perhaps if you are a woman, the settings of this application work differently.” (User on Play Store on 27th June, 2025)

Is SweetMeet Worth The Hype (And Investment)?

TBH, I really wanted to get rid of SweetMeet by the fourth day, thanks to the huge number of advertisements. The ads literally drove me crazy for weeks, and the fact that the frequency of ads doesn’t change over a period of time.

Having said that, I did match with some genuine profiles, which is precisely why I had decided to spend some more time on the app. But after a few weeks on it, the advertisements ensured I deleted it from my phone.

Also, apart from the advertisements, most people I matched with were located very far away from my location. Since the whole point is to meet people located nearby, it wasn’t really working for me.

So if you ask me about downloading this app on your device, I will say you can, but there are better options out there. Moreover, if you don’t find enough matches, you can always change your location, since it does increase your chance of getting more matches.

Overall, you can definitely try out SweetMeet – but only if you have patience.
