OurTime

Navigating the dating world much later in life does not always have to be an exhausting experience. Meet OurTime, a dating platform that makes falling in love possible even when you are above 50 and wondering if love is ever going to be a possibility.

OurTime is a popular dating app created especially for singles who are 50 and above. A few of my older colleagues used OurTime for an entire month so that I could write this review.

They told me that the platform was similar to the reputable Match.com – plus, it was super easy to use, match, and connect. Most importantly, the best part of the app is that people actually provide a lot of information about themselves.

I also met 100 women and men who have used OurTime – and based on their experience, here’s my honest review of the app.

Stay tuned.

What Is OurTime?

What Is OurTime

OurTime is a dating app (and website) committed to helping its users make authentic connections later in their lives. Unlike dating apps catering to people of all age groups, this dating app specifically caters to people who prioritize meaningful connections and emotional maturity.

The best part? You won’t feel lost in a space crowded by literally everyone out there – sorry Tinder and Hinge. I love that the app’s focus is primarily on finding someone nice who shares your interests and goals.

Also, here are three features of OurTime that stood out:

1. User-Friendly Interface:

The app is easy to use and navigate. As a result, it is super accessible for anyone who isn’t tech-savvy. Moreover, the process to set up your profile is easy. Plus, users can easily start connecting with anyone with a matter of a few clicks.

    2. Compatibility Test:

One of the most unique features of OurTime is its compatibility test, based primarily on a user’s personality and interests. This test can help users match based on their core traits, ensuring a relatively more thoughtful approach to meeting new people. Also, it increases the chances of finding someone whose values align with yours.

      3. Dating App Accessibility:

Apart from the app, OurTime is available as a desktop version as well. This allows users to access the platform from anywhere. So, whether you are checking your texts on your smartphone or just browsing from your desktop, the dating service has been launched with convenience and simplicity in mind.

        Is OurTime Free To Use?

        Is OurTime Free To Use

Yes, you can access and use OurTime for free.

So, with the free version, you can sign up on the app and check out different profiles. Also, the free version includes all the basic features, including viewing all potential matches and sending likes.

However, to unlock the app’s full features and send messages, you will need the premium version. I’ve come across so many reports that talk about how much more a user can get from this platform – but only after they upgraded their profiles.

Naturally, there’s not much you can do with the free version. So, for optimal use, I will recommend upgrading to the premium version.

        Premium Benefits

With the premium version of the app, you can enjoy the following features:

        • Unlimited texting.
        • Improved search filters.
        • Who viewed your profile?
        • Who liked your profile?

So, if you are ready to invest some time and money to improve your love life, you can definitely consider premium access.

        OurTime Pricing

Similar to Silversingles, OurTime offers subscription plans for three months, six months, or a year. So, even if the monthly expenses might appear to be less for long-term subscription plans, the total amount has to be paid together at the onset.

On that note, here’s how the OurTime pricing structure looks:

        • Standard Plan: $24.99 Monthly with Standard Messaging.
        • Premium Plan: $74.90 to $155.90 with Profile Boost and Read Receipts.

        Pros And Cons Of OurTime

        Pros And Cons Of OurTime_

Based on my experience and information available on community forums, I’ve listed down the pros and cons of OurTime below:

        ProsCons
        1. OurTime has a friendly user interface and easy navigation, making it simple to match and connect.1. The customer support team is available, but super inconsistent with their response times.
        2. The app offers compatibility matching to help users match with like-minded people. 2. The app makes interaction limited for users who don’t have a premium subscription.
        3. The app offers great search features, including saved, reverse, local, and mutual search.3. The app doesn’t have a large dating pool, making it difficult to find matches in places with less population.

        OurTime Alternatives

        OurTime Alternatives

Beginning to date a little later in life might seem exhausting and just daunting. But to be honest, it doesn’t have to be so, and OurTime is one such platform that is exclusively meant for people seeking romance and companionship somewhat later in life.

But if you don’t have a great time on OurTime, there are several alternatives – while some cater exclusively to people over 50, others have all the fish in the world. So, here are my top picks at a glance:

        1. Coffee Meets Bagel.
        2. Silversingles.
        3. Tawkify.
        4. Elite Singles.
        5. SeniorMatch.

What Are People On The Internet Saying About OurTime?

So, here’s what people are saying about OurTime on the internet:

        1. “Stay away from OurTime. I signed up 4 days ago and have never been able to use the site. I’ve made numerous attempts to get customer service to fix the problem but only receive automated replies. Customer support is nonexistent.” (User on Reddit on 27th July, 2025).
        1. “The app was recommended so I thought I would give it a try. After purchasing the subscription I later received a notification that I had likes. I briefly looked at them and went back to what I was doing. The next day I attempted to go into the app and received a message that my account had been blocked. After numerous emails, I received one that stated their original decision to ban my account would stand and they would no longer reply to any more of my messages. How could I violate something that I never used? So, they have my money and I have no access.” (User on Reddit on 23rd December, 2024).
        1. “Have met several women off OT. Most are 55-65 and a few have retired already. Only using the free version now, but it’s convenient and get to see who looked at your profile daily. Shows too many profiles out of my area when I have the distance range set low.” (User on Reddit on 25th November, 2024).
        1. “OT is not very active, but is usually less expensive than some of the others. I met a number of ghosts there, which was frustrating. Why create a profile, pay and disappear? My friends told me to try Bumble and one met her forever guy there, wedding in 2025. My friend says you get what you pay for?” (User on Reddit on 25th November, 2024).

Is OurTime Worth The Hype (And Investment)?

To be honest, I think OurTime is pretty good, especially for anyone who is actually seeking a genuine connection and something special.

So, whether you are just hoping to share the golden years of your life with someone special or want to connect with others like you, this app can offer you an effective and comfortable space.

Yep! As long as lasting companionship is on your agenda, OurTime is worth considering, thanks to its accessible service, thoughtful features, and mature audience.
